Its TWO run win for the ROYALS
Tuesday, April 6, 2010
Deccan Chargers have been abject with the ball towards the end of the innings all tournaments but Shane Warne produced the old magic and handed the ball over to Siddharth Trivedi for the last over of the match against Deccan Chargers, Hyderabad at the VCA Stadium, Nagpur on Monday. This was the first ever IPL match on this ground and what a match that was. Rajasthan Royals, in the end, won the match by just two runs and earned TWO points too.
This was the only fourth occasion when a team won the match by less then 2 runs. Interestingly Rajasthan won 2 of them and Hyderabad have lost three times by 3 or less runs in IPL.
One more interesting thing is that five matches were won by the team in three or less runs and five of them were in the month of May. See the table.
